Process & expectations
5 questions

All content updates are batched and deployed on the 1st and 15th of every month. This gives us time to review, translate, and format everything properly before it goes live.

If you're on the Priority or Full Localisation tier, urgent updates outside this schedule are handled within 48 hours.

Emergency updates — unexpected closures, urgent notices — are handled same-day regardless of your plan.

We review your current site within 48 hours and send you an honest breakdown — mobile performance, bilingual gaps, search visibility, and what we'd fix first. No obligation, no sales pitch.

If it's a good fit, we'll recommend a plan and walk you through onboarding. If it isn't, we'll tell you that too.

Most clients are fully onboarded within 5–7 business days. That includes domain migration, hosting setup, and an initial content review. If you're starting from scratch with a new build, we'll give you a clear timeline upfront.

Email is fine. Send us the update in whatever language you're comfortable with — Japanese, English, or a mix — and we handle the rest. No forms, no portals, no technical knowledge required.

You'll have a dedicated contact and a named person on your account from day one.

No. That's the point. Security patches, SSL renewals, performance monitoring, CDN configuration — none of it is your problem. You run your business. We handle everything technical.

Billing
4 questions

You're invoiced once a month in JPY. The amount is fixed — no variable charges, no usage fees, no surprise invoices. What you agree to is what you pay, every month.

Invoices are sent on the 1st and due within 14 days. We accept bank transfer and major cards.

Plans run month to month with a 3-month minimum on all tiers. This gives us enough time to do the work properly and for you to see real results — search rankings and content don't shift overnight.

After the initial period, you can cancel or change plans with 30 days notice.

Everything listed on the pricing page is included — no add-ons, no upsells for standard plan features. The only things not included are third-party costs like domain registration and paid advertising spend.

If something isn't listed and you're not sure, ask. We'd rather clarify upfront than bill you for something unexpected.

Yes, at any time after the initial 3-month period. Upgrades take effect the following billing cycle. Downgrades are prorated from the date of change.

Technical

Your existing site stays live throughout. We build and test the new environment first, then cut over once everything is verified. Zero downtime is the standard — your customers won't notice the switch.

You do. Your domain, your content, your images — all yours. We manage everything on your behalf, but ownership never transfers. If you ever leave, we hand everything over cleanly.

On Cloudflare's global edge network — the same infrastructure used by some of the world's largest sites. Sub-second load times from Tokyo to Toronto, built-in DDoS protection, automatic SSL, and 99.9% uptime. Not shared hosting. Not a budget server in a single location.

Mobile-first is our default, not an option. Every site we build or maintain is designed for the phone in your customer's hand first, then scaled up to desktop. We test on real devices, not just browser previews.

Japan-specific

Yes. Whether you're starting from a Japanese-only site and want to add English, or building from scratch with no existing web presence, we handle the full bilingual setup. You don't need to provide English content — that's our job.

By people, not software. We use native-level writers in both languages — your Japanese content reads naturally in Japanese, your English content reads naturally in English. Not translated. Not run through a tool and lightly edited.

Machine translation reads like machine translation. Tourists notice. We don't use it.

Yes. Google Maps, Google Business Profile, and local search work differently in Japan than in Western markets. We understand the signals that matter — Japanese-language indexing, local citation consistency, map pack positioning — and we build your presence accordingly.

A clean one-page document delivered by the 5th of each month covering: tourist search visibility, top-performing content, Google Business Profile stats, social reach, and what we're doing next month and why. Plain language, no jargon, actionable.

We can share a sample report before you commit — just ask.

Every two months we audit your top 3 local competitors — their search rankings, Google Business profile health, social activity, and any recent changes to their online presence. We deliver a short brief with specific actions we're taking to outrank them, not a report for the sake of a report.

We draft posts and send them to you for approval 3 business days before they go live. You can approve as-is, request edits, or flag anything that doesn't feel right. Nothing is posted without your sign-off.

If we don't hear back, posts are held — never auto-published.
